Introduction</b> <p align="justify">Many people believe that capital punishment for apostasy in Islam is a problem. There are some so-called modernist and liberal Muslims who will perhaps like to add “alleged” in the above sentence. The problem, they say, is in the idea being inconsistent with the maxims of civil liberties idolized in the West. The problem looks more serious when Islam appears to be the only “religion” sanctioning this. They do not recall what the Bible says on the subject.
