Do women form majority in the hell?

Christians often use a Hadith to malign Islam that women are not given equal rights and are condemn to remain in the hell fire. While they lie they try to make some issue out of the following Hadith. <div style="text-align: right" align="justify">عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُرِيتُ النَّارَ فَإِذَا أَكْثَرُ أَهْلِهَا النِّسَاءُ يَكْفُرْنَ قِيلَ أَيَكْفُرْنَ بِاللَّهِ قَالَ يَكْفُرْنَ الْعَشِيرَ وَيَكْفُرْنَ الْإِحْسَانَ لَوْ أَحْسَنْتَ إِلَى إِحْدَاهُنَّ الدَّهْرَ ثُمَّ رَأَتْ مِنْكَ شَيْئًا قَالَتْ مَا رَأَيْتُ مِنْكَ خَيْرًا قَطُّ</div> <div style="padding-bottom: 0px; margin: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; float: none; padding-top: 0px" id="scid:0a7b020c-2e51-4379-b078-a5387e1e26be:26db5d3a-a93f-41c6-a5e4-311a17600763" class="wlWriterSmartContent"><a name="more"></a></div> Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas: The Prophet said: “I was shown the Hell-fire and that the majority of its dwellers were women who were ungrateful.” It was asked, “Do they disbelieve in Allah?” (or are they ungrateful to Allah?) He replied, “They are ungrateful to their husbands and are ungrateful for the favors and the good (charitable deeds) done to them. Does Islam equate women with animals and slaves?

Q: In a Hadith from Abu Dawud's Hadith Collection men are ordered to seek refuge from women, animals and slaves in a similar manner. Is there any contradiction in Ahadith about the Muslims being in Hell?

Q: There are certain Ahadith which say that anyone who says "There is no god but Allah" will not go to hell. On the other hand we find Ahadith where we are told that one who will have even a little faith will be TAKEN OUT OF HELL eventually. Is this not a contraditon? ANS:- Sham Shamoun, the notorious anti-Islamic writer has written such things. Why Quran calls woman a tilth for man?

Q-Is it not a fact that "ISLAM CONSIDERS WOMEN TILTH FOR MEN" and thus degrades them? ANS: The verse they refer to is as under; "Your wives are as a tilth unto you; so approach your tilth when or how ye will; but do some good act for your souls beforehand; and fear Allah. And know that ye are to meet Him (in the Hereafter), and give (these) good tidings to those who believe." (Al-Quran 2:223) Yes, woman is called the tilth for man, but it is not that a parallel is being drawn between her and tilth. Actually it is a simile, that it is man whose seed a woman carries in her womb. It is in this context that this simile is given for understanding. For those who really understand the Quran, this verse asks for better attitude towards women. you see, a farmer looks after his tilth, waters it, protects it against all climate conditions. In the same way man is supposed to take every care of woman, for he has been given more physical strength and has been made her protector and manager of her affairs. INDEED ALLAH KNOWS THE BEST! <div> </div>
